Kiruna befinner sig i den så kallade norrskensoval vilket gör att chanserna att uppleva norrsken är mycket goda, framför allt i år samt de kommande åren tack vare ökad aktivitet på solen.

Efter en introduktion till norrskenet tar vi en kort transfer till Kiruna Airport – Spaceport Sweden, där vi tar plats i en Jetstream32 som rymmer 12 fönsterplatser per tur och erbjuder möjligheten att lära sig mer om och uppleva det magiska norrskenet från ovan.

Flygturen tar 45-60 minuter och tar riktning mot där norrskensprognosen är som mest gynnsam, ovan molnen. En helt unik möjlighet att uppleva norrsken. Efter flygturen tar vi transfern till ICEHOTEL för en Northern lights drink på ICEBAR by ICHOTEL.

Terms & conditions

Northern lights are a space phenomenon and seeing it can surely not be guaranteed. The only thing that we can do is to create the best possible prerequisites to do that when it occurs. A cloudy night you will definitely not see northern lights from the ground. But there might be a large northern lights activity above the clouds and therefore Northern light flights are a perfect way of travel closer and higher the options.

We rely on the best available prognoses for sun activities and hence northern lights, but we cannot guarantee northern lights. We guarantee the best prerequisites but wish to point out that there is always a chance of the northern lights not to be visible no matter how good the prognoses. This is also a little bit of the thrill of the experience!

Flights will only be conducted if the northern lights prognoses show good chances to see northern lights. Spaceport Sweden cooperate with the Institue of Space Physics in Kiruna. This judgment is based on as dependable facts as possible acquired via the Institute for Space Physics. Decision will be made 2 days prior to flight. If the flight is cancelled an alternative activity will be arranged.

Technical errors that lead to cancelled flights guarantee 100% repayment of the northern lights flight to customer.

Charter flight, booked only by request, no later than 72 hours before departure and is confirmed according to availability.
